What this means is that we do not start production of our garments unless the order and payment is confirmed online. As a brand that believes in sustainability, this helps us reduce wastage created through over-production.

Variations in colour, texture, embroidery and print are a feature not a bug. We request you to the respect the craft that these individuals from across India bring to the table through our designs and not ask for an exchange or refund based on the above.

https://www.instagram.com/theplavate are usually seen by you through a backlit screen on your mobile device or computer. While we try our level best to reproduce the images put up on our website to truly represent the final product, we cannot be held responsible on how they show up on your screen.
We ship through registered courier companies for orders within India and through DHL Express/FedEx/Aramex for international orders.
International orders are usually delivered within 15 business days* and domestic orders within 10* business days. You shall receive an email from us confirming the delivery date after the orders are processed. Sundays and Public Holidays are not set as working days for deliveries.
PLEASE NOTE: These days are merely indicative and your order could be shipped prior to or later than the mentioned date depending on the availability, customization and other factors attached to your order. The order dispatch time and shipping time varies from product to product. We shall stay in touch to confirm all dates with the buyers.
SHIPPING CHARGES RETAIL
Shipping within India is charged at Rs.300 flat. For international orders, we charge anything between $27 to $50 depending on the weight and volume of the pack. Rest assured, these are standard rates charged by our agents.
We will get in touch with you post confirmation on order. There are separate charges by our agents for remote locations. This usually does not include any of the major international cities. Please allow us 24 hours to get back on charges for any remote location.
Once the order has been handed to the courier agency, we will email you the tracking code, along with the website link on which you can monitor and check the status of your order. Please note that the tracking code may take up to 24 business hours to be activated on the tracking website.
PLEASE NOTE: Our delivery partners will attempt to deliver the package three times before they return it to us. Please provide the complete & accurate shipping address including zip code/pin code and an active mobile number. This will help us in delivering your order faster. The Plavate will not be liable for delays resulting from incomplete/wrong address listings. In such cases the customer will have to bear the reshipping charges.
TAXES AND DUTIES
The VAT / Custom Duty / Local Taxes / Import Duties are borne directly by the customer/buyer, to be paid at the time of delivery to our courier partner or as advised by our courier partner.
www.theplavate.in does not include these extra charges on our price (as displayed on the e-shop) or in our wholesale price as shared with the buyer. These extras will be chargeable over & above the price you pay on the e-shop or price shared for wholesale.
DELAYS DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
While it is always our attempt to deliver before the date promised there are multitude of reasons beyond our control that can cause unforeseen delays. A lot of them have come to light during the last 2 years of the Global pandemic. Delays can be cause due to shutting off of supply chains between our weavers and us. Or due to some form of natural disaster, war, calamity or epidemic. We have also faced delays due to rising commodity prices which have caused major supply shock to our partners.
In such circumstances, your order will be processed and dispatched after our production and supply chains resume smoothly.
CANCELLATION & REFUND
After an order is placed on the online store, a customer can ask for cancellation and refund within 24 hours. Please note 5% (of order value) cancellation fee would be charged for account/card refund. The cancellation charges are equivalent to online payment processing charges levied by payment gateways.
RETURNS ON RETAIL (if applicable)
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging with tag and must be returned within 7 working days. This is applicable for all domestic (within India) returns. Please note that for our international customers, returns are not always possible due to logistic issues. This is because return shipments to India attract substantial duty/tax charges and more often than not are not able to cross logistical and customs hurdles and consequently, never reach back to us. For international returns, the duty/tax payment at port of entry in India is to be borne by the customer. We urge you to refer to the garment measurements before placing the order. REFUNDS (upon return)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of the return.
If approved, then your refund will be processed through a store credit note that can be redeemed on your next purchase. A credit note can only be used for in-store purchases on www.theplavate.in and cannot be redeemed in cash.

EXCHANGES FOR RETAIL (if applicable)
We only replace/exchange items if they are defective or damaged from our end or there is a size issue. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com. It must also be in the original packaging with tag and must be returned within 7 days.
Please note that for international orders, exchanges might not be possible because return shipments to India attract substantial duty/tax charges and more often than not are not able to cross logistical and customs hurdles and consequently, never reach back to us. For checking possibility of exchange for our international customers, please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For returning or exchanging their item/items unless the product was received in a defective condition, the customer will be responsible for paying their own shipping costs as well as duty/tax payment on the return shipment charged by Indian customs at port of entry into India.
